Jack Rose Cocktail

Many stories exist as to the origin of this cocktails name. Ted Haigh (author of Vintage Spirits and Forgotten Cocktail) prefers the simple version: it’s made with applejack and is rose colored. A more interesting version is that it is named after a hit man involved in a notorious murder trial in the early 20th century.
