Valentines day is the biggest date night on the calendar. What better drink to have with dinner to celebrate with your someone special than the Love cocktail. I found this recipe in the 1935 edition of Old Mr. Boston Bartenders Guide.

Love Cocktail
1 ½ ounces gin
1 egg white
2 dashes (1/3 tsp) fresh lemon juice
2 dashes (1/3 tsp) raspberry syrup
Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, shake strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Note. A dry shake of the egg white with no ice can be done prior to adding the other ingredients.
