No matter what time of year or type of weather coffee and liquor always are a great combination. I came up with this drink for a party in December of 2014 because the host wanted a type of Mexican coffee cocktail for her guests, that isn’t just coffee with a shot of tequila. I based this drink on a brandy Alexander which includes: espresso, half and half, tequila and dark cream de cacao and the result is it was a hit, one of the most ordered drinks of the night. It’s simple to make and will work as a cocktail or after dinner drink.
Ingredients:
2 oz. espresso (preferably Dulsao do Brasil from Nespresso)
1 ½ oz. Tequila blanco or resposado
¾ oz. Crème de Cacao
1 oz. half and half
Directions
Place espresso, Tequila, Crème de Cacao and half and half in a cocktail shaker with ice, shake vigorously for about 20 – 30 seconds and serve in a small cocktail glass.
